British history has always been one of my passions—especially the elegance, drama, and social complexity of the Regency period. From grand estates and glittering assemblies to the quieter details of daily life, the Regency era offers an endless source of fascination. And at the heart of it all stands my favorite author: Jane Austen.
Austen captured her world with wit, insight, and timeless charm. Her novels don’t just tell love stories; they reveal the customs, challenges, and ambitions of an entire society. The more I’ve read her works (and revisited them, again and again), the more I’ve wanted to explore and share the world she lived in and so brilliantly portrayed.
That’s why I created Austen and Regency on Instagram. The account dives into Austen’s novels and the history of her time, mixing:
